Bio

Dr. Dipak Kulkarni is a consulting dermatologist from Panvel, practicing since 1989. He pursued his M.B.B.S. and M.D. (Skin) from B. J. Medical College, University of Poona. He is the medical director of Alok Clinic, a skin care clinic which a team of around 8 associate dermatologists in three different setups in Panvel, New Panvel and Kharghar. His clinic is officially recognised for IADVL observerships since 2017.

Dr. Dipak Kulkarni was an Associate Professor of Dermatology in Terna Medical College till 2006. He is actively involved in social work along with Kushtharog Nivaran Samiti, Shantiwan, Patwardhan Memorable Hospital, Panvel and Rotary Club of Panvel. He is currently the president of Navi Mumbai and Raigad Dermatologists’ Association.

Dr. Dipak Kulkarni was instrumental in making clinic management software, which is best suited for busy dermatological OPDs. By virtue of this software, he is able to handle the data of around 2 lakh patients. The software is in use in more than 150 dermatological and other clinics in Maharashtra and many other states of India. Apart from proper dermatology, practice management, software use in clinic and conversational techniques with patients are his subjects of liking, on which he has given a large number of lectures.

Dr. Dipak Kulkarni has received awards for:
- Dr. B. B. Gokhale Award for standing 1st in University for M.D. Skin Examination.
- Dr. Lonkar Award of IADVL Maharashtra Branch, in 1991, for his innovative work in dermatology.
- Sharad Naik Memorial Award for his work in leprosy.
